Pip

Pip is a tiny red squirrel with enormous ears, endless enthusiasm and pockets that are never quite empty.

Acorns, feathers, pebbles, leaves – if something catches the light or makes him wonder, Pip is probably already carrying it home. He is quick, curious and wonderfully enthusiastic, and he has very little understanding of the phrase personal space.

Pip notices the small things that other people often walk straight past. A shiny stone, an unusual leaf or a perfect acorn can become a treasure simply because he stopped long enough to see it.

Sometimes his excitement gets ahead of him. He misplaces things, talks quickly and can become flustered when something precious disappears. But with a little help to slow down and retrace his steps, Pip usually discovers that what he was looking for was closer than he thought.

He reminds the woodland that joy does not always arrive in grand moments.

Sometimes it fits in the smallest pocket.
